Frequently Asked Questions
Athletes for the Stage® exists to support dancers in fueling their bodies with clarity, confidence, and care - onstage and beyond.
-
Athletes for the Stage® is an education-based nutrition and performance fueling program designed specifically for dancers and performing artists. The program supports strength, energy, longevity, and a sustainable relationship with food — without restrictive dieting or one-size-fits-all plans.
This work is rooted in the belief that dancers are athletes, and fueling should support the art, not complicate it. The goal is to help you feel confident in how you fuel your body, both in and out of the studio.
-
Athletes for the Stage® is for dancers and performers who:
Train intensely and want better energy, recovery, and performance support
Feel confused or overwhelmed by nutrition advice
Want structure without restriction
Are navigating transitions in training, schedule, or career
Are rebuilding trust with food and their body
The program works with pre-professional, professional, and lifelong dancers, as well as other stage-based athletes.
-
Athletes for the Stage® offers multiple pathways of support, including:
Education-based nutrition coaching
Custom fueling strategies and frameworks (not rigid meal plans)
Performance and recovery support for dancers
Digital resources, workshops, and guides
All services are designed to meet dancers where they are — physically, mentally, and artistically.
-
This work is performance-first and dancer-specific.
Rather than focusing on weight loss or aesthetic goals, Athletes for the Stage® prioritizes fueling, strength, recovery, and long-term health. The approach is educational and empowering — giving you the tools to make informed decisions independently, instead of relying on external rules.
There is no restriction-based dieting, food shaming, or pressure to look a certain way. The goal is sustainability, autonomy, and confidence.
-
No. Athletes for the Stage® is not a weight-loss program.
While body composition may change naturally as fueling, training, and recovery become more supported, weight loss is never prescribed or promised. The focus is on nourishment, performance capacity, hormonal health, and longevity in dance.
-
Instead of rigid meal plans, this program provides personalized guidance, frameworks, and education.
The goal is for dancers to understand how to fuel themselves — across varying schedules, rehearsal loads, and seasons — rather than follow a set plan that doesn’t adapt to real life.
-
Working together is collaborative, supportive, and judgment-free.
Clients can expect:
A dancer-centered, athlete-informed approach
Clear education without overwhelm
Compassionate support rooted in autonomy
Tools that fit real schedules, not perfect ones
This is a space where your body is respected and your artistry is supported.
